Connor James is a 24 year-old Canadian Country Artist born and raised in Calgary, AB. He started performing at a very young age and by the age of 17 had released a 5-song folk EP to iTunes. After the initial release of his first CD, Connor embraced his upbringing and turned to country music. He released his first single, “#Awesome”, to iTunes and Canadian Country Radio in May of 2014 - it was then nominated for ACMA’s “Song of the Year”. He performs regularly around AB, opened for CCMA award winner Shane Yellowbird, and performed for the CFR Ladies’ Luncheon in November of 2014. Connor's second radio release brought him further success with features on both Mediabase and Billboard stations. Mistake (or a Memory), was released nationwide in October of 2016. He is also a Senior level gymnast, and has competed on Team Canada twice (2010 Pan American Championships, Daytona FL and 2012 Indo Pacific Championships, Sydney AU - Bronze Medalist Men’s DMT). He attended Selkirk College for Contemporary Music in the 2012-2013 school year, and transitioned to a Finance degree at the University of Calgary. He is currently in his 3rd year of a BComm, co-heads an online fitness and nutrition company, trains and coaches gymnastics, writes, plays, and performs music, and works to fund all his passions.
